Alvin A. Cook, Jr.

International Financinal/Economic Specialist

Dr. Alvin A. Cook, Jr. has over 31 years experience in management and organization assessment, economic and financial analysis, project development and implementation, and privatization in the transportation sector. Dr. Cook was a member for ASI's team that performed the 1998 TDA funded Feasibility Study for the Border Security Modernization Project at the three major Jordanian Airports (Queen Alia, Jordan's principal international airport; Amman-Marka Civil Airport, the older domestic and military airport; and Aqaba). Dr. Cook has also performed economic and financial analysis for several other TDA funded projects, and has provided training in the structuring of economic analysis and financial planning for project development. Dr. Cook's Relevant Aviation Projects include: Aviation Restructuring in Sierra Leone for the Department of Civil Aviation, currently in the Ministry of Transportation and Communication; Assessment of the Development of a New International Airport in Luanda, including the possible economic viability and the prospects for financing; Financial and Economic Assessment of the Turkish Aviation Sector at several airports in Turkey (including Ataturk in Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, and Iskenderun) and the status of Turkish aviation development, including the financing needs for the refurbishment of old airports and the development of new airports in various regions of the country; and Airport Analysis in Qatar Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait.
