ASI conducted a requirements analysis and developed specifications for the Cairo, Egypt International Airport; conducted a comprehensive security review in 1993/94 for the Beirut, Lebanon Airport; and subsequently assisted the Lebanese Government to rebuild the ICAO Civil Aviation infrastructure within the Lebanese Government, and to reestablish them within the international civil aviation community after 17 years of civil war. Major tasks performed for the Lebanese Government included a draft of a Lebanese National Civil Aviation Security Program, and the final development and issuance of the Beirut International Airport Security Programme, and Beirut International Airport Emergency Plan.
ASI also provided an assessment of the Egyptian Air Traffic Control (ATC) and associated communications system preparedness in case of anticipated year 2000 computer problems. ASI is currently assisting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to assess the prospect for ATC enhancements leading to increased over-flight traffic revenue.
British Airways chose ASI to conduct a comprehensive survey and analysis of its security operations in North America. ASI experts analyzed British, U.S., and Canadian regulatory requirements and conducted surveys at key North American airports served by British Airways.
