Crisis Management Experience

ASI follows the principle that a crisis is handled more effectively through organization and preparation than through ad hoc response. While planning for every contingency will not guarantee an error-free response, it does signal the intent of executives and managers to face realistically the possibility of a catastrophic event and increase their ability to take control.

ASI staff and Associates have wide backgrounds in crisis management, including emergency planning and disaster preparedness, command post development and operations, pre-incident training, exercise simulations, crisis response, and post-incident counseling. Our staff and/or organizational experience includes the management of various U.S. crisis response systems during actual disasters, domestic and international; development of the FAA's Crisis Management Manual; training of government, air carrier, and airport personnel in crisis management techniques; on-site participation in crisis response; and post-incident counseling. ASI has conducted research and collected data in the crisis management field in the government and private sectors, both domestically and internationally.
