Jordan Airspace Modernization Plan and Feasibility Study

Description: Developed a national Communications Navigation Surveillance/Air traffic Management (CNS/ATM) modernization plan for Jordan. A study objective was to determine how additional investments will improve revenues from over-flights and reduce costs for services to the Jordanian aviation system. The methodology is to review flight routing, procedures, and systems equipment to reduce path lengths, provide for more efficient and timely control, and more efficient communications.
Client: Director General Civil Aviation Authority of Jordan
Type Contract: Prime contractor
Services: Evaluated Jordan Airspace System, inventoried navigational aid and other system equipment, identified needed CNS/ATM enhancements, and developed initial framework for Jordan airspace modernization plan. Recommended improvements to Jordan airports, terminal areas, Amman FIR air route structure, and to joint use and special use airspace. Developed funding options. Assessed operations staffing and human resource issues. Conducted environmental impact overview.
