August 2007-July 2008 Aerospace Services International: Abu Dhabi. U.A.E.

  • Assisted in the Development of the Security Master Plan and Integration Plan for the International Airport of Abu Dhabi. Deployed in the United Arab Emirates during the development of the Plans
August 2006 Aerospace Services International: Ghana, Africa
  • Assisted in the development of the National Aviation Security Program for the Government of Ghana.
May, 2005 Aerospace Services International: Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Assisted in providing Security Inspections of four International Airports in the Bulgaria.
November 1, 2003 Retired Las Vegas, NV

2002-2003 Transportation Security Administration, Assistant Federal Security Director for Screening Las Vegas, NV.

  • Initiated the screening process at Las Vegas, McCarran International Airport. Responsible for hiring Management and oversight of 1000 screeners and support staff conducting all of the screening operations.
1998-2002 Federal Aviation Administration, Air Security Branch Manager, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Managed all of the field offices in the Western Pacific Region, which included Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and the International Offices in Los Angeles and Singapore. Managed several crisis during my tenure to include the Unibomber investigation at LAX and the Los Angeles portion of the Egypt Air crash.
1994-1998 Federal Aviation Administration, Internal Security & Investigations Branch Manager, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Managed the Internal Security Investigations providing investigative resources to the entire FAA Western Pacific Region and all disciplines there in. Developed new programs to keep pace with the rapidly changing security environment. Managed fraud waste and abuse program within the FAA.
1989-1994 Federal Aviation Administration, Asian Pacific Representative, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Managed and was the lead Inspector involved in conducting ICAO Inspections of foreign Airports and Air Carriers in the Asian Pacific Region. Managed the Asia Pacific Deployment from a base of operations in Manila. Assisted in the creation of the foreign assessment class for agents conducting foreign assessments and assisted in teaching the class.
1988-1989 Federal Aviation Administration, Supervisor Los Angeles Field Office, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Supervised a team of FAA Special Agents conducting Air Carrier and Airport inspections and assessments throughout the Southern California area. Participated in several Headquarters initiatives and the regional representative, conducted foreign airport assessments as a team leader.
1987-1988 Federal Aviation Administration, Special Agent, Los Angeles Field Office, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Conducted investigations and inspections of airports and air carriers in the LAX Area of Responsibility. Conducted foreign assessments. Conducted fraud investigations committed by Federal Employees and regulated parties.
1961-1987 Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Supervising Detective Sergeant, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Narcotics Detective Supervising Sergeant. General Law Enforcement duties and supervision of detectives investigating crimes. Retired with 26 years of service to seek other opportunities and interests. Eighteen years as a Supervising Sergeant Detective Investigator. Retired.
